Your Guides and Schedule | 2019

We have a group of gifted and talented presenters and teachers who will make ONE: A Yoga Retreat for Women an exceptional weekend for every participant. Our sessions include yoga practices, silent meditations, discussions, projects, sound healing and more. You may choose to attend all or some of the sessions. Yoga experience is not necessary to attend ONE. We will provide everything you need to feel safe, nourished, inspired and free to use this weekend to give yourself whatever it is your heart is asking for. It is my great honor to bring these strong, creative, caring and passionate women to ONE as they offer themselves to be your guides, your teachers, and your friends.

Be Now Here
Friday 5:30-6:30
Lori Redlinger, RYT200, YACEP
Co-founder, Living Yoga, Watertown, SD

Baron Baptiste says “Be Now Here” or “Be No Where” Same letters, completely different meaning. As you arrive at ONE, you are extracting your Self from your everyday life.  Away from your normal surroundings, people, projects and obligations, you have the opportunity to connect with your Self in a new way. This yoga practice will invite you to relax, settle in, let go, open yourself courageously to the unknown of the weekend and immerse yourself deeply in whatever it is you feel drawn to explore and experience.  Slow, mindful movement linked with deep, intentional breathes will take you exactly where you need to go. No agenda. No destination. No goal. Just be now here.

Introduction to the Enneagram
Friday 7:30pm & Saturday 10:00am
Toni Popham
Watertown, SD

About Toni and her session | A recently retired hairstylist, it has been my honor to spend the past 43 years listening to, sharing with, and caring for some amazing women.  This lead me to a curiosity about why people are similar and different. Over 20 years ago, I was introduced to the Enneagram (not to be confused with Instagram).  It is an ancient way to understand ourselves as we actually are, and for understanding others so we can have more harmonious relationships. I am a huge enthusiast, but by no means and expert. Please let me introduce you to the always fascinating Enneagram!

The Power of Touch
Saturday, 11:00am
Lynnette Ingalls and Alexandra Vinella, RYT-200
Living Yoga, Watertown, SD

We all have had that moment where ONE touch meant more than works could ever express.  In this practice, we will explore the preciousness of touch and trust by sharing poses with each other.  You will feel the grace of both giving and receiving. You will find new depths to your postures.  You will appreciate the company of another in your journey towards wholeness. Lynnette and Alexandra will lead us through a beautiful friendship practice where together we will experience the richness and joy that connection bring to our lives.

About Lynnette | Hi, I’m Lynnette and I love sharing yoga with other enthusiastic and eager learners.  I have been practicing yoga for 5 years and when I started, I had my own mental challenges to overcome.  I didn’t think I was flexible enough or had the time, and I questioned whether yoga was “for me”. What I found is this: yoga is challenging, relaxing,, spiritual, absolutely invigorating and a key to happiness and freedom.  I am looking forward to sharing these insights and more with you at ONE!

About Alexandra | Hello! I’m Alex. I am a certified second-degree black belt and registered 200-hour yoga teacher. My yoga journey began in my early teens as a retreat from my physically demanding martial arts practice. Through yoga I learned to better connect the body, mind and spirit through breath and meditation. This mindful slowing down helped balance the strength I felt in my body. When appropriate, I enjoy incorporating components of strength and meditative breath in my classes so you too can feel this sense of balance through body, mind and spirit.

Sharing and Experiencing Mindfulness
Saturday, 1:00pm
Waneen Polly
Watertown, SD

Mindfulness is an ancient practice.  And it is being scientifically explored and understood as a practice that can benefit mind and body.  Mindfulness practice is a journey, not a destination.  We all have experiences of mindfulness and will share with each other.  Every-day, every-moment, mindfulness practices will be practiced.

About Waneen | Memorable moments of keen awareness began for me in the quiet spacers during a silent retreat at a Benedictine Monastery in the Redwoods in California and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a village in Sierra Leone. I am a beginning mindfulness practitioner with years of modest study and fluctuating practice.  I am a newly minted 200-hr yoga teacher with the intention of being able to practice yoga mindfully for the remainder of my life. I look forward to sharing this practice with you.

Suncay 8:30am
Sarah Johnson, RYT-200
Living Yoga, Watertown, SD

This class will bring together all that we have gained from the weekend together.  We will embrace the beautiful individuals that we are, we will honor the uniqueness that each person brings to the world and we will celebrate our connection to each other.

About Sarah | Hi, my name is Sarah. I am happy to be a part of the amazing team of presenters and teachers at ONE! From the very first moment of my very first class, I was hooked on yoga!  I was intrigued by this fascinating practice that could make me feel equally energized and peaceful at the same time. I began teaching in 2010 and received my 200-hour teacher certification from Revolution Yoga in Sioux Falls, SD. I teach a slightly stronger vinyasa flow class and love to encourage my students to go beyond where they thought they could go, both mentally and physically. I often weave a theme into my classes that allow students to experience the class on a deeper level.  My class at ONE is no exception – you will be guided to integrate all the ONE-derful insights, experiences, feelings and knowledge you have gained throughout the weekend, leaving you ready to take on the world refreshed and recharged!
